Hi all,

I have a requirement to build power automate forms using share point portal as backend source.
I did some quick research and found, it can work with both with e3 licenses. Now on further search I found couple of things, which I thought to seek answers for them.

“…seeded Power Apps are a limited version of Power Apps that comes with some Office 365 licenses and other Microsoft products”.
“Unlimited canvas apps: Users can create and run an unlimited number of canvas apps.” – positive.
“Limited functionality: Users can only use standard functionality…may need to purchase a premium license to access advanced functionality”
would this affect delivery of our requirements?
Our requirement to build power automate forms and SHare point data source for all e3 users are as follows:
1. We need to build some form based on MS share point portal lists for example Employee list, department list etc.
2. All users should interact with the forms and data based on e3 license - This is fine?
3. Permissions - such as Admin, able to hide some fields based on roles.
4. Send emails if required.
5. All users can interact with Power Apps form as well as can add/edit data on MS Sharepoint?

6. What is the limited or standard functionality means which means to purchase the premium license?-
Does above listed can be handled with office e3 licenses?  Please if someone can share their expereince?

Kind regards,

    1. We need to build some form based on MS share point portal lists for example Employee list, department list etc.
    [SG]: Should be fine

    [SG]: Should be fine
    3. Permissions - such as Admin, able to hide some fields based on roles.
[SG]: Power Apps supports role-based permissions, and you can set up conditional visibility based on user roles. For instance, you can configure the app to show or hide fields based on the user’s role (e.g., Admin, Employee). This can be done using Power Apps expressions and doesn’t require a premium license if you are using SharePoint as the data source.
    4. Send emails if required.
[SG]:Sending emails from Power Automate is possible under the E3 license as long as you’re using the standard connectors (e.g., Outlook or Office 365).
    5. All users can interact with Power Apps form as well as can add/edit data on MS Sharepoint?
[SG]:Yes, users with E3 licenses can interact with Power Apps forms, as well as add and edit data in SharePoint lists directly from Power Apps.
    6. What is the limited or standard functionality means which means to purchase the premium license?-

[SG]: The "limited functionality" in the seeded Power Apps for E3 licenses means you are restricted to standard connectors like SharePoint, OneDrive, and Excel. Premium connectors (e.g., SQL Server, Dataverse, and custom APIs) are not included.
