Hi,

I need a quick help on this time issue:

1. Created (existing field when SharePoint list was created): this field is OKAY as it shows my local time;

2. Customer Account Created (new field created by me): this field NOT OKAY as it shows a delay of approx. eight hours

Can someone help?

    Hi @SK_Tan ,

    I think that is a UTC time value in Customer Account Created, you need to convert it to local time. How do you write data in this Sharepoint list, especially on Customer Account Created Column ? From a powerautomate flow ?

    If so,  try to convert the time using: convertfromUTC(UtcNow(),'time zone name')

    You can find here more details about time zone name.

    Also you can check the time settings for your Sharepoint site from Site Settings -> Regional Settings.

    Hope it helps !

    Thanks @gabibalaban .

    Can you explain in more details how to do this: convertfromUTC(UtcNow(),'time zone name')

    Do I need to add an action or how?

    @SK_Tan ,

    Please give me a hint how you create items in Sharepoint list, to understand your background.

    Hi @gabibalaban

    For this "Customer Account Created" field, I want it to populate the date and time when someone approves (meaning he/ she already create the customer account).

    @SK_Tan ,

    Well you said the magic word ...Approvals.

    This action response is given in UTC time, and you need to convert to your local time. Now it is more that clear that your time from Sharepoint Regional Settings is set to local time. So, what you need to do is to convert the 'response date' of Approvals to the correct form.

    Here a small example of how to convert the answer datetime of Approvals to a local time (in this case 'GTB Standard Time' - my local time).

    And here is the result of the flow. Please notice the differences between 'response date' and the result of the formula.

    Hi @gabibalaban

    I tried to convert to my local time (Singapore Standard Time), and the results shows eight hours later than local time. And when I convert to (GMT Standard Time), it works fine as it is showing my local time of Singapore, which is weird!

    My formula now (set as GMT Standard Time which is not my local time but some how returns the right time):

    convertFromUtc(body('Finance_AM_4.1')?['completionDate'],'GMT Standard Time')

    I checked my Regional setting seems okay - set as local time.

    Question: shouldn't I convert to Singapore Standard time instead of GMT Standard Time? My base Singapore.

    @SK_Tan ,

    Yes I did!

    I tried to convert to my local time (Singapore Standard Time), and the results shows eight hours later than local time. And when I convert to (GMT Standard Time), it works fine as it is showing my local time of Singapore, which is weird!
