Hi , i am having problem when i want to start a new flow, it appeared this error, invalid connection. please update your connection to load complete details.

I already go to Connection pane at the left hand side of the Automate portal, and i found out that all connections are ok, all connected and no issue. I already clicked on the three vertical dot beside the specific connection and switch account, but still the error occur again.

@mel_ Can you switch to the Classic Power Autoamte Desigber and check?

hi @CFernandes , may i ask, why do the classic and new designer affect the error? Because before this i created new flow without any connection error, even with new designer.

@mel_ - From yesterday, I have seen many problems new designer and no problems in classics... This might be a temporary problem with new designer.

@CFernandes Why is it that some people are unable to use the "new designer"?
Mel had asked this last year (response #3), but I do not see a response.

I'm having the same issue 1 year later... I don't understand why MS keeps rolling out new features/apps that don't work, and do so prior to fixing issues to which they have been alerted to 1+ years ago.

Same here. November 2025 and ran into the exact same thing. Installed a Power App template for expense reimbursement requests. A bundled Microsoft managed solution that created two new Power Automate flows after being installed. The connection references hadn't been refreshed with my credentials. The New Designer didn't allow this to be actioned. Reverting back to the Classic Designer immediately refreshed the connection references. And saved that as unmanaged elements. So the flows worked as expected.

Ridiculous that a New Designer feature that's been around for awhile now still isn't fully functional based on what I've experienced. Even troubleshooting a separate issue with connection references of an unmanaged solution led to Microsoft support recommending to revert back to Classic Designer.
