I hope you're doing well. I'm here to share a recent issue I've been experiencing with Power Automate while using the Excel connector to pull data from my Excel (OneDrive) documents. For the past two years, everything worked like a charm, but suddenly, for the last five days, I've been encountering an error that's been a real head-scratcher.
The Problem: When attempting to use the Excel connector to select a table and retrieve data, I keep getting this error message: "Could not retrieve values. The dynamic invocation request failed with error: { "status": 403, "message": "The request is forbidden by Graph API. Error code is 'AccessDenied'. Error message is 'Could not obtain a WAC access token.'" This error is affecting my all flows now. It's not able to fetch any tables or data from Excel. At first, I thought it was a temporary issue, but it wasn't.
What I've Tried: I'm no techie, but I've tried some common troubleshooting steps. I've changed connections, revoked and re-invoked access permissions, and even prayed to the tech gods. But, alas, the problem persists.
Additional Info: I'm using the Excel (OneDrive) connection, not the business one.
I'm reaching out to the MPA community in hopes of finding a solution or at least some guidance on what might be causing this issue. I'd greatly appreciate your help.
