Problems opening saved .msapp backup

We're in a government tenant and had been using the PowerApps free trial. When the announcement came down that the free trial was ending and that PowerApps would not yet be available to governement users, my office purchased a regular PowerApps Plan I subscription so we could continue to use the app we built.

I had a saved backup of the app (.msapp file), but I can't get it to open in our PowerApps subscription. It has a SharePoint connection to another tenant, which I am able to recreate successfully, however, when trying to open the .msapp file, PowerApps hangs after asking me if I want to allow that connection. Doesn't matter whether I click Allow or Cancel, the client just freezes and has to be restarted.

I'm able to create a new app with a gallery and pull in list data from the SharePoint connection in question, so there doesn't appear to be an issue with connecting across tenants. Just can't get this backup file to load.

All help is welcomed. We have a lot of time put into the app already. Quite depressing to think we may have to start from scratch.

Please PM me the .msapp file and I will determine the problem. Alternatively start up a web authoring session, take a note of the session id, then try to open the msapp file from there. Assuming it fails, post the session id and I will lookup the telemetry.

    Hi Andy,

I just tried opening from the web authoring side instead of the desktop client and it fails there also. The Session ID was 51c903a5-afb6-0a90-68ab-c558ac9dcc32.

I'll PM you the .msapp file as well in case that helps.

    Thanks for taking a look!

To close this out, the issue that prevented this app from loading in v630 was fixed in the v632 release on Sunday. Thanks to the OP for working with us to find and fix this.

So where do I connect to this PowerApps Studio (Web)?  Is it still in preview?

https://powerapps.microsoft.com does not seem to get me access to PowerApps Studio (Web).

This seems to be harder than it should be.
