Combobox gives no options for specific user

I have a number of combo-boxes that simply do not work for a specific user.  There are no options available to choose from after typing minimum of 3 letters.  The user has Full-Control permissions for the list.  

The source of the list is a choices field which is set to People Only, and specifies a Sharepoint group.  

 

If I login as other users, I am able to use the combobox as expected.  Please Help
