Three different sharepoint lists in one app

Hello everyone,

I have 3 apps, each one based from a simple list in sharepoing (three different lists). All apps work exactly the same, with the ability to not only see the data, but add, delete, or edit it. The categories (headers of columns) are the same in all three, but they are for three diferent departments, and each department can only have access to their own data so I can't make it one app and simply sort it.

Now, the issue is that I want to create a 4th app that works the same as each one of the 3 previously mentioned apps, but with the data from all of the three lists. I have been able to create an app that shows all three lists separatly, and I can add data to each list, but when I open an entry to edit, it doesn't take me to the correct entry.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

(I'm very knew to PowerApps so please explain your thoughts as simple as possible with all information required :))

Hi @Anonymous,

If you would like to have the fourth app to work with the three SharePoint Lists, then this app need to have different screen for Display form and the Editform control.

As the Data Source property and the items property of the form control is not supported to change.

There is a workaround posted by Mr-dang in the following thread, check and see if that would work in your scenario:

I used the method described on the link you sent me (three screens of each kind, one for each sharelist) and it half worked. The original screens of the app work perfectly fine, but the other two lists are not working correctly. I changed all of the links to match the source of each list, and I can see the lists in their respectives screens, but when I click in any of the entries of the second and third list, it takes me to either an empty view screen, or to a view screen with information from the original list, if I had previousely clicked on an entry of the original list. Does that make sense?

I can't seem to figure out wht's wrong.

Any ideas?

Nevermind.. i figured it out. I had one line incorrect in each card that was pointing the card to the originals.
