How to create a lookup field in a custom page?

I have a custom page which I open as a modal in a Model Driven app. I need to create a lookup to account. What is the best implementation?

In canvas app we can create a new search screen, but custom pages cannot have several pages.

I tried at dropdown field, but it seems to have limititions. I only see first accounts starting on A....(have not counted, but guess it is a limit om 100-200?)

I don't want to use a gallery because this is a small modal window... I hope the way to go is not show hide a gallery on top...which is the only solution that cross my mind...

Yes, I am using a Combobox, but thats actually limited to a specific amount of records.

Are you using a combobox control, as that includes the ability to search and won't be limited to 100-200 records.

It is a combox with search I use...

You could try using a combobox rather than a dropdown. Compared to a dropdown, users can type into and search the items in a combobox, so that could provide an alternate option.
