Flow notification emails not allowing links to be clicked on

Hi,

Looking for some updated advice/information regarding the issue around links no longer working in the Flow notification emails. At one point they worked and then they seemed to have stopped working.

So when a notification email is sent out from one of our flows, the user is unable to click on the link to the file that is related to the notification.

The user has to click onto the original message button to get to a working link which is a real bad experience for our end users.

Oddly though these links were working and then just stopped working after our Office 365 was updated.

I have read several posts on this and alot are pointing to something around Microsoft fixing the issue and then as soon as the update came out it seemed to have reversed it back to broken again.

We cannot be the only business that is experiencing this and would like to know what is being done to fix this issue?

Many thanks

Matthew

Not hijacking the thread but I have the same problem after upgrading to Office 2019 standard.

the flows haven’t been changed and the links work on our older outlook 2016 clients

nothing happens when you click on the flow generated url links From an outlook 2019 client...ordinary links manually typed from another users client machine work ok

windows 10 pro with office 2019 standard - all updates applied for both OS and office applications

    Hi @kohlermatt ,

Glad to hear that Outlook Web is working properly.

If possible, please ask your admin to update your Outlook Client version so that you will be able to submit a response from Outlook client email directly as well.

    Best regards,

    Mabel

    Hi @v-yamao-msft

    My version of Outlook is:

    outlook-version.jpg

Unfortunately our Office updates are controlled centrally so I cant't do any local updates on any of my office products.

I will try Outlook web mail, one thing which I haven't tested yet.

*** Update*** I have tested this in Outlook Webmail and links are working fine so it is the Windows outlook email client that is causing the issues.

    Thanks

    Matthew

    Hi @kohlermatt ,

What’s the version of your Outlook client after being updated?

I have just updated my Office 365, its current version is 1902.

When testing this issue on my side with a flow likes below, the issue could not be reproduced. The link is clickable on both actionable message and original message.

Please check your client version and try again with it.

Btw, does it work on Outlook Web?

    Best regards,

    Mabel

Re: Flow notification emails not allowing links to be clicked on

    Hi @RobElliott

Appologies, I should have said that the notification was coming from the "Start and Wait for Approval V2" step and not a "Send and email" step.

So just for reference, this is how I have this setup:

    approval_setup.jpg

I'm guessing i dont need to add the ahref tag into the Item link?

    Thanks

    Matthew

Hi @kohlermatt that's strange as mine are working fine (see image below). How are you constructing the links?
