Is there a good way to see all of the access provided by a security role?

Is there a single place to see all of the access provided by a security role? Not just entity privileges, but also model driven apps shared with the role, forms, etc? Copied a role today and the copy did not work as expected, as it seems the copy only got the entity privileges, not, in particular, model driven app & form privileges. It took a fair bit of spelunking to figure out exactly what is missing - and still not confident I've caught everything.

I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

Looking through this issue I am not certain there is any way in order to cleanly gather all the accesses provided by a security role. Maybe this is possible through a script or maybe there is a PowerShell cmdlet that might work, but I am not certain. This might be a better question for Microsoft Support. I'll include a link on reaching out to them if you would like to go down that route. Otherwise if any other communities member might know feel free to chime in.

    Regards,

    Alex

    Hi @Anonymous,

The copy of a security role only copies the privilege set and not where the role is being used (i.e. form, app, dashboard, members of the role or references in Workflows/code/etc). This is by design. To view the references/dependencies, you can check in the Maker portal, navigate to your solution, select the security role, then the ellipsis in the top menu and click on "Show dependencies". Note that it will not show where the component are referenced in code (JavaScript, C#) though.

    Hope this helps!
