Can I use an Azure App Service Certificate as a SSL Certificate for a PowerApps Portal?

Dear,

Our portal is currently at "https://ourcompany.powerappsportals.com" and we want to add a custom domain ("https://portal.ourcompany.com") but then we need to add a SSL certificate.

Can I use an Azure App Service Certificate (on our root domain "ourcompany.com") as a SSL Certificate on our PowerApps portal?

Thanks,

Koen

If you want to use SSL certificate on subdomain.domain.comYou either need a wildcard Certificate or subdomain specific certificate.

Since the Free Azure App Service certificate doesnt support Wildcard and is not exportable (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/app-service/configure-ssl-certificate#create-a-free-certificate-preview)
You can not export it and use it on a subdomain.

    Dear,

I was not intending to use the free version of the certificate, but the "standard" certificate (for two subdomains at around 60 euros per year) or even the wildcard certificate.

So, if I understand your answer correctly, I can use these certificate on a custom domain for a powerapps portal?

    Thanks

If you get a PFX file from Azure (After exporting) you can use it on Power Apps Portal along with the password. There is a little trick because it doesn't give out the password directly. You would need a separate tool to extract the Password.

Side Note: I have not found any documentation that says the Standard SSL certificate supports 2 sub domains all i read was it supports WWW as additional only.
