Add User Name to Planner-flow

Hello experts

I reach out to you experts, since I'm quite a dummy at Power Automate.

I recently succeded in making/copying a flow from this forum that exports data from planner to excel.

The flow i used is this:

https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Building-Flows/Updating-excel-with-planner-tasks/m-p/1341036#M151836

And a i got some help understanding the flow from this video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=quJl0wCvNkM

After some hours and a little headache I actually succeded in making it run as intended. The problem is now, that I was asked to add the user names to the dataset. I allready read a couple of other posts about this, and tried out a couple of things, but no matter what I do my flow fails.

I know have to use the "value assignments Assigned To User Id" and most likely an Office 365 Users Get user profile (V2) action. But no matter how I insert this using my own scarce logic, I cant make it work.

I hope one of you experts can help me with this.

I have attached some pictures of the flow. I have added some few actions at the start to clear the dataset for old tasks before running the actual flow.

    Hello @Asbjørn ,

my approach would be to build a mapping table between the userId and actual user, and then using it to convert the id to the name, as I described in a blog post.

    Hi @tom_riha

Thank you so much for your response. I really appreciate it.

That's a little bit more complicated than i expeected, but i will sure try it out 🙂
