Populate a Microsoft Word template to add line break after Period in sentence in power automate

Hello Power Users,

I have a paragraph with multiple periods in it. I did composed it and had a replace action like replace period with a variable that is initiated with a . and an enter in it. In the flow it is generating the right format like in 3 lines for the 3 periods in paragraph. When I had it mapped on to the Populate a Microsoft Word template its not displaying in points wide, its displaying in a paragraph format only.

Can anyone please help me or suggest me to to have the points wise format in Populate a Microsoft Word template.

Input format:

Line1.Line2.Line3.

Expected format:

Line1.

Line2.

Line3.

Thanks in advance!

In your template, do you have this checkbox checked?

Because, with it checked, it works for me.

    Hi @Rhiassuring ,

Thank you so much. That did work. I have three lengthy lines to format like this and they were not ordered that way. Any suggestion for that please?

         Reasons:

             Line 1 Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    xxxxxxxxxxxx.

    Line2 cccccccccccccccccccccccccccc

    ccccccccccc.

    Line3hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

    hhhhhhhhh.

I would like them to have like below format.

    reasons:

          Line 1 Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

          xxxxxxxxxxxx.

          Line2 cccccccccccccccccccccccccccc

           ccccccccccc.

          Line3hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

          hhhhhhhhh.

    Thank you so much again!

    Oh, ummmm. Let's see.

So, I went in and typed "Reasons:"

Then I added my Property Control, set the carriage return. Then I turned on "Rulers" in my view, and using the bottom bar on the little hour-glass looking thing on the ruler, I slid that over a tab's worth.

That seems to have done it. But... it'll only work as long as that sentence doesn't have any periods in it. Or, at least, if it's an entirely separate variable.

Is that what you're looking for?
