"Update file" fail when use content from "Get file content"

Issue:​
 
Power Automate cloud flow consistently fails with error:
 
The response to partial content upload initiating request is not valid. The response to initiating partial content upload request must contain a valid location header.
 
Details:​
  • When:​ Since March 18, 2026. yesterday flow is ok
  • Where:​ "Update file" action to SharePoint Online/OneDrive.
  • Key finding:​ Fails only when "File Content" is dynamically referenced from previous "Get file content" action. Works fine with manually entered text.
  • Impact:​ Multiple business processes blocked.
Request:​
 
Please investigate why SharePoint/OneDrive API fails to return valid Locationheader for chunked upload initiation, and provide fix/workaround.

    Your Update file action is failing because Power Automate is forcing a chunked upload, and SharePoint/OneDrive is not returning the required Location header. This is a known behavior with chunked uploads.
    Fix: Turn OFF “Allow chunking” in the action settings.
    This workaround has successfully resolved the same error for other users.
