Hi, I work with project sales in my daily work. Excel is my tool when I calculate the projects.
The foundation is cost-based, where you add a risk premium, profit margin and guarantee premium to the various categories and services that lead to a compilation.
Would like to make a model driven app via PowerApp where I have almost full admin rights.
My idea is to create tables in powerapp as a database and I can present these values in a model driven app and PowerBI.
Here I need some guidance for the start of how to link the different tables with each other, calculations and other functions.
In the attached picture, I have tried to present my thoughts about the structure.
My questions:
1. Which relationship should I choose between A0 and A2-1, A2-2, A2-3, A3-1?
2. The tables (A2-1, A2-2, A2-3, A3-1) are intended to be used in calculations in a summation table. How should I think about relationships or something, is there another way I can do or need to think about?
3. When using the fx formula, it is not possible to make a calculation between numbers and currency between two columns in the same table? What should I think about in that case? Make all columns numbers?
4. Table A3-1 is normally static with fixed costs for each resource. But if I want to change or update resource costs for the new project without affecting previously calculated projects, what do I need to consider when setting the prerequisites for the table?
5. What would you do regarding the summation of the data from the different tables?
Create a new table or present it in PowerBI?
How do you get calculation functions and connections between the different tables in that case in the new summation table?
Is it possible to compare the data of two different selected projects with each other in the model driven app?
There will probably be many more questions from me, but I will start here with these and hope that you will share your knowledge and experience.
Thank you for your help and guidance.
