Hi,

Im building a form in power apps and I wanted to change a not required field to a required field when I select a specific choice in a choice field in the form.

I want to turn "Data Limite de Pagamento"  a required field when my choice field "Tipo de Documento" is equal to "Factura".

I used this formula but is not working...

    Hello @FarmaVIP ,

    It expects a Boolean value, and you compare Record to Text but try:

    If(DataCardValue11.Selected.Value ="Factura",true) it should work

    Hope it helps

    Regards

    @SebS

    I'm on a mission to eliminate unnecessary If() functions

    DataCardValue11.Selected.Value ="Factura" reduces to either true or false so no If() is required.

    @SebS

    That did not work 😞

    I'm using Dataverse as my database.

    The "Factura" option is coming from a custom choice column.

    And "Factura" has a value of 1

    How can I compare them?

    OK, I got it 🙂

    So why not do it? !(DataCardValue11.Selected.Value ="Factura") instead? Same result no IF 🙂

    I'm not sure but in datavers You may face that value actualy is 1 so you can try

    !(DataCardValue11.Selected.Value =1) just in case

    I'm not that experience with Datavers.

    !(Text(DataCardValue4.Selected.Value) = "Factura")

    This should work at last in my Head it do 😛

    @FarmaVIP I think the answer you are looking for is setting the required property of your date field to

    DataCardValue11.Selected.Value = 'Tipo de Documento'.Factura

    where datacard is the name of the dropdown. The Tipo de documento is the display name of your option set in Dataverse and Factura is the selected option (hope I typed them correctly)
