when we terminate users we would like to export the mailbox to a pst file.

can this be automated?

If you want to export the mailboxes from Office 365 account to PST then you can try Office 365 Backup Tool. This tool provides option to save Office 365 mailboxes into PST, PDF, EML, MSG and MBOX file format which can easily access into different email clients platforms.

OR

If you want to export Mailbox from Outlook Live (OWA) to PST then you can try Hotmail Backup Tool.

OR

You can export email to PST file then you can try Outlook PST Converter.

we need an automated method
we currently achieve this on prem with an export command
so we need something similar for 365

Hey Mate,

You might want to use PowerShell or C#code using Power Automate Desktop or write your C# or PowerShell code in an Azure Function and then call this function from Power Automate using the HTTP action.
