Hello.

I've seen others raise the issue of renaming a folder but havent seen a successful clear resolution to renaming.

My Use Case is that i have a sharepoint list for development enhancements which when a new item is added i want to copy a template folder (which contains subfolders and template word documents, and place the copied folder in a folder where the folder name is equal to the ID of the list item.

I have got as far as follows from other suggestions. Could anyone help?

    Hi @Anonymous ,

If you want to update the name of the copied folder, you could treat it as a file.

Please refer to the screenshot below to configure Flow.

Please check the similar thread and see if it helps:

Hi Barry. Thank you for responding (been on holiday so apols for the delay). I'm still not clear on a few things. Could you confirm?

    1. The copy file screen you show highlights a png being copied. How could it be set up to copy folder X to be folder Xv2?

    2. What does library name mean in the Post option? I cant add this or do i need a custom syntax?

This is the logic of my flow so far:

    1. SHAREPOINT Trigger - When a new item is created in list Development Register

    2. SHAREPOINT - Copy folder at /Shared Documents/Internal - Process/DevelopmentTemplate and store in destination /Shared Documents/Test Delivery Folder.......so that would mean creation of folder at /Shared Documents/Test Delivery Folder/DevelopmentTemplate

    3. I now want to rename the new folder to have the filename of the ID of the list entry in point 1.

Note: the Development template holds sub folders related to documentation and which contain template word docs etc.

I couldnt seem to get your COPY File option to work as a folder, and if it were to copy a file within the folder and then rename that folder i guess i couldnt have the sub folders i need? Is that correct.

    Thanks in advance!

    Mat
