Hi Power Apps community,

I have created an app that display images from my SharePoint List into my app. The only thing is that the image can be small on the app and I wanted to create a function that when a person clicks on the picture it opens it in the web browser. I have used the launch function but it wouldn't open. I have even but the link in SharePoint between dubble quotes ("") in Launch, but still no result. It only works when I copy the link from my SP List and paste it directly in the browser.

Does anyone have ever tried this before?

Any help will be much appreciated.

What is the type of column that holds the links in your SharePoint list? Can you post a capture of its definition?
Can you post here an example of:
an image link that works in your app
the link that's opened in the new tab when you click on an image in your app
an image link from an item in your SharePoint list

Hi @R3dKap , thanks for the reply.

The column that contains the image is a multi lines of text. The link that is open in the app and in the browser (on direct) is the same link in the SharePoint List. In the app, I am using a LookUp function for an image control in PowerApps.

The link was created by PowerApps itself because I have stored the image with PowerApps.
The link is very long but it start like this: data&colon;image/jpeg;base64...

Hi @JB0007 ,
Sorry, that one will not work - you are storing the image in a format called Base64 Text and is not something a web browser can open. You can however create a new screen, put an image control covering the whole area and display the image in there and simply navigate to the screen.

Hi@JB0007,
Based on the issue that you mentioned, do you want to open the base64 image in the browser by clicking the image icon in PowerApps?
Currently, there is no way to open this format of an image directly in the browser, you should turn all of the images into real jpg files by converting the base64 text to bytes with any online converter, just make sure you take only the text after the initial "data&colon;image/jpeg;base64,"

@JB0007,
You could take the base64 data of your images stored in your multilines text column and create real image files in a documents library using a little flow. Then you could open the url to those images in another tab.
