Clearing a DateTime field using Rest API

Hi everyone,

I'm not having much success clearing a DateTime field using the Rest API via the Send an HTTP request to SharePoint action.

I've tried the following approaches in the body of the action but neither of them work:

Anyone have any insight as to how this can be performed?

    Hi @Ellsworth03054

Try without the double quotes between null.

    Thanks

Thanks but just results in Invalid JSON. A token was not recognized in the JSON content.

    Where you getting the error?

define the below as a string and try

    { '__metadata':{ 'type':'SP.Data.YourListItemNameHere'},'Workflow_x200_start_x200_date':null}

Still no joy...  The property '__metadata' does not exist on type 'SP.Data.Product_x0020_List_x0020_2ListItem'. Make sure to only use property names that are defined by the type.

    Hi @Ellsworth03054

I did tested this and worked as expected. Make sure you have the correct List and Field names. Believe you have some spaces in your list name and fields.

Above my list is called ListA and my Date field is called EventDate

Thank you @abm.  I was able to get it working when I use a list that doesn't have a space in its name.

But unfortunately, my list does have a space in its name and I get this error:  A type named 'SP.Data.Date TestListItem' could not be resolved by the model. When a model is available, each type name must resolve to a valid type.

What do I need to change in the URI or the metadata statement when my list has a space?

    Hi @Ellsworth03054

I have created a list called Test Test1 and a date column called Invoiced. Try the below.

Thank you @abm.  That worked perfectly.
