How to run Power Automate Desktop application when I start my PC

Hi Experts,

Correct me if there is another approach,

I am trying to run Desktop Power Automate directly from it's application

 "C:\Program Files (x86)\Power Automate Desktop\Microsoft.Flow.RPA.Notifier.exe"

It won't start, If this runs I would want to use to schedule batch file to run when I start my PC. The cloud based trigger is showing as premium when I want to connect the desktop flow.

I could actually use Cloud based flow but I have this issue, and I haven't got help, so assuming it is a bug.

https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Using-Flows/forward-slash-gets-concatenated-to-the-path-last-string/m-p/834890#M21015

Please can you tell me, how to directly execute Desktop Power Automate and even better my particular flow of desktop power automate .

Thanks a lot

    Hi,

Running PAD from the application path is not an official way to do this. I would suggest you to follow Microsoft guide to run it.

Your can either run your flows from the PAD main screen or trigger your flows from Power Automate Cloud.

This is a guide from Microsoft. Please have a look.

Run attended and unattended desktop flows

Thanks and hope it can help you.

    Thanks @miketran13

"or trigger your flows from Power Automate Cloud" You mean

    1. Power Automate application - > Desktop flows - > "Edit" (as it launches power automate desktop) and  then run, If I do not want to go premium easy way ?

    2. Can I create model application, call these flows in free license ?

    Hi,

    1. => Yes, you just need to open the PAD and run your flow directly from here. The thing here is that you only have Trial version of PAD, you have to renew it every time when it expired.

    2. => I can't answer this question, because you are trying to by pass MS license.

Thanks and hope it can help you.

    2. Is bit strange for me, model application is using MS powerapps instead of MS powerautomate. I am not even sure, if it gives me the visibility, my intention of asking is do trial and error, If there is no access to powerautomate flows, at this moment I don't need it unless I can do all the stuff I want in powerapps.

Already I don't have a solution for Local File folder in power Apps Automate as it inserts forward slash, throwing error there is no such folder. 😞

After your confirmation, this is what you mean, I will accept your solution, please can you confirm

    Hi,

    Sorry, my bad!

For the question 2: To be able to trigger Desktop flow from your powerapps, it is also bring you to the Cloud Flow actions, there you still need to have Premium license to use these actions.

I will look at your issues afterward.

Thanks and hope it can help you.

    Thanks a lot @miketran13

Looks like I am stuffed. I will wait for your response to that powerautomate not able link to local folder, when you get time.  Have a great day.
