Power BI report embedded in power apps asking for sign in

Hi Everyone,

We have a Power BI Report embedded in PowerApps Canvas app both of which are authenticated with Azure AD, But when we click on power bi report it is again asking for sign in. Is there any way we can make the power bi not ask for sign in and move forward with AD credentials.

Any help in this regard would be very much appreciated

    Hi @Anonymous ,

    This is not really a solution, but I get exactly the same result on some testing I am doing on PowerBI data sources. Every time it is opened, either in run or design, it asks for permissions. It is the only data source that I have encountered that does this.

    Hi @WarrenBelz ,

    I tried two approaches

    1. Creating a token from Azure AD and sending it to Power BI

    2. Creating a Service in Azure, adding it to security group and enabling it in power bi

    None of the above approaches worked for me. I am trying to think is, the sso between Power apps & power bi is at all achievable?

    Hi @Anonymous ,

    I will probably not use it as I also have access to the underlying data which I can query.

    Sorry, but I have nothing more useful other than confirming it is not something in your setup

    @Pronay ,

    No - it is not something I use so have not pursued it.
