Copy file to location with Metadata, Term, Content type

So i have been trying alot now to get this to work.

I want to copy a file to another Document Library and i want it to have all it's original metadata with it. Including content type, and term, and so on.

I have tried using Update file properties, but im not getting the Content Type with this and also i dont seem to be able to use Dynamic content to set the Library name, and i need this because the Library name in my flow depends on a value.

Error recived if i try to use Dynamic Content to set Library name in "Update file properties"

"Cannot evaluate the parameter 'path.$.table' at design-time; it is empty or has a runtime expression."

Is there any way around this and how can i get all the metadat and content type with me?

    Hi @JimmyWork ,

To copy a file from one library to another with all its original properties, the two libraries should have the same columns/properties.

About Content type, it will be copied automatically. You could show it on current library view to check the result.

About updating the library name, I am afraid that it might be not possible. It seems that only existing libraries could be detected.

    Hope this makes sense.

    Best regards,

    Mabel

You are correct it copies the content type if the library contains same.

But it does not copy metadata from columns.

I have a column named Metadata, this is setup on both librarys and uses Manage metdata from Term set.

This is not copied with it. Do i have to run a Update item to paste the Metadata from the column metadata?

Also version history is not copied, is this posisble?

    Hi @JimmyWork ,

Please try with action Update file properties to get the metadata value from the original library to the destination library.

    Best regards,

    Mabel
