Flow triggering on new email to designate Office 365 Outlook sub-folder

I am interested in doing a flow (ultimately, several flows possibly, as needed) which will help me implement time-blocking. I.e., as new emails come to my inbox, I would like to move them to a sub-folder of my inbox corresponding with time-blocked email review times of "Day 1 Morning," "Day 1 mid-day," and "Day 1 afternoon;" and "Day 2 Morning," "Day 2 mid-day," and "Day 2 afternoon;" and then "Day 3 morning," "Day 3 mid-day," and "Day 3 afternoon."

In this scheme, Days 1-3 are relative to the day when I first receive/process any email and the Morning, Mid-day, and Afternoon blocks roughly correspond to priority levels of low, medium, and high. As such, for example, an email which is both urgent and important would go into the folder designated for Tomorrow Morning, while an email which can be processed eventually could go into the folder for Day 3 afternoon. Analagously, each of Days 1-3 and Morning, mid-day, and afternoon can represent High (Day 1), Medium (Day 2), Low (Day 3) priorities AND each of Morning, mid-day, and afternoon can also correspond to High, Medium, and Low priorities so that tomorrow morning would be analgous to High Priority (Day 1) and High Priority (Morning) - HighHigh; and an email which I intend to process at mid-day on Day 3 would correspond to Low Priority (day 3) and medium priority (mid-day) - e.g., LowMedium. Hopefully that makes sense, and can also be visualizsed as a matrix with vertical (Days 1, 2, or 3 (Priorities 1-3)) and horizontal (Morning, mid-day, afternoon (Priority 1-3)) axes.

My intent is as follows: To implement this, I'd like to set up 9 sub-folders in my inbox, corresponding to one of the day/time slots I have blocked out on my calender for reviewing emails.

I would like the Power Automate flow to trigger when I move an email into one of the 9 sub-folders and I would like the Flow to make an event on my calendar at a specified time associated to each folder (e.g., Folder 1 coprresponds to tomorrow at 0830 AM; Folder 2 corresponds to tomorrow at 12:00 PM; Folder 3 corresponds to tomorrow afternoon at 4:00 PM; Folder 4 corresponds to Day 2 morning, Folder 5 is for Day 2 mid-day, etc. up to Folder 9 corresponding to Day 3 Afternoon 4:00 PM time-block).

I'm open to just about any way to accomplish this. I had thought about making a List for each of the 9 Timeblocks and then, when a new item is created in that List (upon email moved into folder), that List creates an event on my calendar with the email.

With Power Automate, there are many ways to accomplish the same thing, so I'm hoping for some guidance on an efficient way to make a flow which works as described above.

Any input or guidance is most appreciated!
Thanks,

I've been holding off on a reply to see if someone provides an answer. The Power Platform forums are designed to address specific issues, but what you’re asking for would involve detailed assistance with developing an entire solution. This is quite complex, and you may require a consultant to assist with the development. Given the complexity of what you’re trying to achieve and the need for automation across a large number of items, I recommend seeking the help of a consultant who can provide detailed assistance with developing your solution. This may be why you have not received a response yet.

Most likely what you want to do can be done. I would suggest that you start building your flow, and then if you encounter a problem and have a specific issue, post a question specific to the issue you are having. When you do post, it is important to include a screen shot of the flow and how it is configured, as well as show any expressions and error messages.

There are a number of free AI agents including Copilot in Edge. You may want to ask it for some guidance. Although, just posting what you wrote above in Copilot I don't think results in something feasible. I think you'd need to have a conversation with the AI agent so you can provide input and ask further questions when it responds. Something like you would get with a consultant.

I appreciate and understand your response. If I broke it down into discrete components across multiple posts, do you think that would be more acceptable or seen as trying to get around the limitations you describe? I.e., refine the questions into separate issues/posts related to each step?

E.g. How could I create a flow which, when a new email arrives in a designated Inbox folder, creates a calendar event at a specified time relative to the email's time stamp, such as "tomorrow at 8am" or "the day after tomorrow at noon"?

I am grateful that you took the time to respond to my question at all, thank you.

There is no inherent limitation on the types of questions you can seek assistance within the Community. However, in my experience, you're unlikely to get a response to your question when you ask for guidance on designing an entire process. While someone might eventually respond if you wait long enough, what you're asking for requires a lot of details that most people won't take the time to provide in these forums. This is especially true when they aren't sure if their suggestions will meet your needs.

Additionally, what you want to do, while probably feasible, is not something a vast majority of people have a need to do. I could be wrong, but for someone to take the time to do what you're asking, they would need to try to build something based on your requirements, which is a significant effort. Unless someone is highly motivated, doing it solely for the satisfaction of getting a check box that says the question is answered won't be enough for most people if they're not getting paid.
