SharePoint list column Person type, not showing as option on flow

Hi.

A few months ago, I created a SharePoint list called Action Log. One of the columns is "Assigned To" and is a person column (settings below)

Next i created a Flow, to notify the people the action was assigned to.

So i selected "Send email" then when I choose "Assigned to" it created an apply to each, and then on the email to field i had the option that was "Assigned to Email" (that is not a column i created but i assume that exists since that column is "Person" type and it brings all the person's details

and it all works OK. Email is sent any time an action is assigned.

Now, i have to do something similar with another list (on a different site) and the column again is Person type called "Assigned to"

but when i go to create the flow, the Assigned To option does not show anymore, and if i select "Assign to" nothing happens

the column setting is the same

but now if i select "To" i don't even get the Assigned to option

i can search for it, but Assign to email is not showing either - and if i use Assign to, it gives me an error, because that is not an email address.

Why did it work on one flow, and not here?

Thanks

You first need to add an Apply to each action with the values from the Get items action. What you are basically doing is trying to add all of the e-mails from all of the items in the Get items action. If you look at the one that works, you will see the e-mail action is within an Apply to each.

    I see, thank you!

the thing that confused me is when i created the other flow, the Apply to each was generated when i selected the field, i didn't have to add it manually.

But i did now, and it worked.

    thank you very much

Glad that worked. Maybe it happened when you added the e-mail action to the first Apply to each in your original flow. Note, if there are multiple people in the people field, each person will get a separate e-mail message. If you want them to all get one e-mail, you need to do a few extra things.
