i'm trying to trigger a simple flow with sharepoint

sirmad95_1-1690203579146.png

you create a new item select RFQ or SoW(two radiobuttons)

then you click save, and the value youve selected lands on Power automate, where there is a condition which checks the value arriving from sharepoint and posts an adaptive card with written RFQ or SoW to understand which value has been choosen. the problem is that it always gives me back SoW. ithought that maybe was the value that i was reading but it's not cause i'm reading what returns from the action Get Items

    Is your condition using the RFQSoW dymanic content or RFQSow/Value dymanic content? You want to use the one with value since your field is a choice field. Otherwise, based on your condition, it will always evaluate to false.

    so i have to use  RFQSow Value from the GetItem?

    You don't have to, but it is easier if you do. The two values return different things. The one without Value will include the ID of the item in your choices. For example, I have a choice field in a list named Currency. If I return the value of Currency for US dollars, it will return the following:

    {"@odata.type":"#Microsoft.Azure.Connectors.SharePoint.SPListExpandedReference","Id":4,"Value":"USD $"}

    If I return the Currency Value instead, it will return the following:

    USD $

    You can use either, but you need to adjust your condition for the value you want to evaluate.

    No. Just update your condition. Look through the dynamic content and you will see that there are two options for RFQSoW. One with just RFQSoW and another named RFQSoW Value. Use the one with Value in your condition.

    For example, I have a choice field named Region, if I look in the dynamic content, there are two options for this field:

    The one with value after returns just the selected choice. The other one includes the ID and all of the other information I showed.

    it works, the initialize variable step is futile, without it and using the right output RFQSoW Value from Get Item works
