I have found soo many different users asking the same question.

Why is it not possible to take an email and put its contents inside of a document library either as an attachment or a .msg or as an item.

I have tried using the built-in template "Save my email attachments to a SharePoint document library" and when i try runing it the Flow gets skipped. (YES, all the values ate correct in the flow)

Has attachments == True

Include attachments == True

Importance == Normal

What i have notices is if the Folder Path is set to "Inbox" the flow doesnt care and it skips the running.

If i set the Folder path to the Danish value of "Indbakke" It gives me the same error that everybody else that doesnt use english is expiriancing.

In conclusion. This flow is broken and needs a fix asap.

p.s. would also be really good to get some kind of feedback on when this will be fixed.

    Hi,

    I noticed that there truly are many requests asking for this feature and I personally agree that it would be much more convenience if flow could add this function. You could post your feedback in the Flow Ideas forum. If it is frequently being asked, it might be considered for future releases.

    Yup. That is why i tried to gather as many of the same requests in my initial post. im hoping that somebody will find a workaround somwhere for this functionalyty that is obviously lacking.

    Hi there,

    I just wanted to update this thread.

    It is now possible to do this within flow using Parserr. We have just joined the Flow community and wanted to thank everyone in the flow team for making this possible:

    https://flow.microsoft.com/en-us/services/shared_parserr/parserr/

    Parserr allows you to turn incoming emails into useful data to use in various other 3rd party systems.You can use to extract anything trapped in email including email body contents and attachments.

    Have a look here: https://parserr.com

    Update on this topic for those who need it Smiley Very Happy

    You can now use the export email action/connector of Office365 outlook and achieve above scenarions easely, tested it myself.

    Here you go,

    AY_0-1595866705861.png

    You can pick the File name from the Dynamic content of the Trigger output and add .eml to indicate it is a mail file and pick the File content from the "Body" of the "Export email"

    I hope this screenshot of my reproduction helps..

    I'm wondering if it's possible to move a *.eml-file from one SharePoint-folder to another using Power Automate.
    Since the document libraries don't have the same (metadata) fields, the "Move file" action can't be used; so "Create file" would be the solution.  I am able to move the file but the content (and email header) is empty. Any suggestions on this?
