Turning an Excel Entry to an Outlook Calendar Event

Hello, I would like some assistance with automating a flow to turn an Excel entry to a calendar event. The purpose of this would be for team members to enter dates for planned time off and then have it appear in a designated Outlook calendar + notify me. I would like this:

to be turned into this in Outlook:

Also, if they make any adjustments to their Excel entries, I would like to have it update the calendar event + notify me.

Can you please walk me through how I would accomplish this?

Thank you!

    Hi @haridavid ,

I did a test for your reference.

    In my scenario:

    formatDateTime(items('Apply_to_each')?['PTO Start Date'],'yyyy-MM-ddTHH:mm:ss')
    formatDateTime(items('Apply_to_each')?['PTO End Date'],'yyyy-MM-ddTHH:mm:ss')

    My Excel Table:

@v-yetonggu-msft this looks great! I just replicated it but can't seem to trigger the action when I tested it with a sample entry. Using the "Test" button gives me this:

Thoughts on how to complete the flow?

@v-yetonggu-msft I figured out what was happening with that. Fixed it and am able to test. I do however, run into a different issue that causes my tests to fail. Here is what it looks like when I do a manual entry on the spreadsheet:

    Entry looks like this:

    Hi @haridavid ,

Please select ISO 8601 in the control of 'List Rows Present in A Table'.

Hi @v-yetonggu-msft, yes, I made sure to do that.

But it is still failing. Should I format the date in the spreadsheet a certain way?

    Hi @haridavid ,

Can you post screenshots of the expression of Startime and End time in the control?

    Hi @haridavid ï¼Œ

I guess the third line of data in your Excel table is not the time date format.

Can you take a screenshot two columns of PTO Start Time and PTO End Time in your Excel table?

    Best Regards,

    Sunshine Gu
