Can I make a P&ID Schematic Tool with Power Apps ? I am working on a project to make a simple & efficient tool to create P&ID Schematic (Drag & Paste mechanism)

I was wondering if it’s possible to make/develop a tool that has:-

  1. Drag & Paste mechanism
  2. Can be printed/Shared as PDF
  3. Free License
  4. User friendly; Super Easy to be learned and used
  5. Ease of access worldwide

Thanks a lot

    Hi @Mahdi1413

I can answer your 5 questions, but not really if what you intend to do exactly is doable or not. For that, I'd need to get some more insights.

    To answer your other questions:

    1. PowerApps doesn't have a Drag & Drop mechanism. However, there is a user voice. Consider voting for it if you need it
    2. yes
    3. Not entirely free, but almost. Depending on what you'd like to do with Powerapps, there are different licenses to consider. Power Apps (free) is in most M365 licensing plans included. However, if you want to connect to specific data sources that are not available in the Power Apps free licenses, you'd need to make use of the Run Single Apps or Run Unlimited Apps license. More here
    4. It's always arguable, but I'd say that Power Apps belongs to one of the easier low code / no code software out there. There are a TON of tutorials available to learn it
    5. The apps you build cannot be downloaded from the Apple / Play store. They are inside the app Power App (that can be downloaded from the Apple / Play store) and you'd need to login with your M365 credentials to use them. App users need to login with your companies M365 credentials as well to use them. However, it's available worldwide, yes.

    I hope this helps
