License Issue?

We have several apps in our environment where we are using premium SQL connector. However for one particular app, users are unable to access the app and license error is seen in image pops up while users are able to access other apps that has SQL connector. What could be the reason users are unable to access that one particular app?image_2024_02_19T14_34_14_941Z.png

Hi @jilani_689 ! It's a little bit of a guessing game here 😉 You are obviously pretty confident that all users do have Premium licenses. However, it's worth to check...
Maybe the "other SQL-Apps" are build upon implicit connections which means that the user implicitly uses the credentials of the account that the app maker used to connect and authenticate to the data source during while creating the app. Power Apps SQL

Maybe this helps to further investigate ...

I did some digging and I realized in App settings, 'Per-app licenses' option was switched OFF in app settings for that particular app as seen in below image. 'Per-app licenses' setting was already ON for all the other apps.  I turned 'Per-app licenses' ON for that particular app and users were able to access the app. This issue never occurred until Microsoft recently revised power apps plan which is like 20$ per month per user.

Also as far as my knowledge goes, only per user plan was assigned to developer and no other licenses were individually assigned to other users of organization and users were able to access all the apps that were shared with them.

I appreciate your efforts taking out time and looking into issue but I believe it was not about about SQL implicit connections. We are sharing all our apps implicitly.

@jilani_689 That's correct indeed, but it was at least a good approach to have a closer look at the licensing of your app 😉  -  Thanks!
