Hi All,

I am struggeling to find a way to create task using Microsoft Power Automate by HTTP request. We can post Message in Teams by Webhook. Can we do same for Planner? Can we create a webhook for planner and call from other services?

Thanks,
Aniruddha Biswas

You can use MS Graph API to create planner task:

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/graph/api/planner-post-tasks?view=graph-rest-1.0&tabs=http

Here is the documentation for complete Planner REST API:

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/graph/api/resources/planner-overview?view=graph-rest-1.0

Please let me know if you have additional questions.

    Hi @krishna,

Thanks for sharing. Yes I have gone through this links but did not get how to use in Flow. Do you have any example for that. One thing I came to know that authentication is a pain using Graph API in Flow. Is that true?

It does not take much time to perform App registration but before we do it, we need to understand the requirement of the application. Also, normal user can not perform App registration. The user must have elevated permissions or global admin can perform the steps.

I generally try App registration in my personal tenant first and will contact the Global admin to perform same actions for me.

Here is the easy explanation of App registration:

Important Note: During App registration, you will have a App Client Secret. Make sure it is not shared or accessible to other users. Using this App Client Secret, they can perform all the actions your App can perform. Generally, I store it in Azure Valut and in the Power Automate actions, I set Secure settings from displaying in the flow execution results.
