Canvas App not showing when creating a new record in model driven app

Hi,

I have a canvas app embedded in a model driven app. When I select "+" to add a new record, the canvas app doesn't display even though I've set the default mode to "New" in the canvas app designer.

It does display however when I edit a record.

What am I doing wrong?

Hi @karimabdelrazek ,

Do you mean that your embed canvas app could only display when you edit record, but could not display when you create new record?

I've made a similar test and met the same problem.

Actually, this is this model-driven app's limit:

Embedded canvas apps are not displayed when creating a new record since they need a record context to be passed to them.

Hi @karimabdelrazek ,

I'm afraid there's no very good way to solve this problem.

This is this feather's limitation.

And for now, the feather of embed canvas app in model drive app is only supported in form.
