Hello Friends,
I am running into an issue I am hoping you can help me with.
I have built a Power Automate Desktop flow which is working perfectly fine, when it runs. However I need to run this Desktop flow automatically everyday at a specified time. For this purpose, I understand that we have to use the cloud flow to trigger the Desktop flow.
So the way I have set up my cloud flow is using the "Recurrence" like this (to run every weekday at 5:25 pm for example). The next step is to run the Desktop flow. This is how it looks like
But when the time arrives (5:25 pm) the flow never runs. In Run history, there is no occurence of this run kicking off at all. I am not sure what is it that I have done wrong here. I tried changing it to different times, but it never runs. There is no issue with the desktop flow, as when I run the desktop flow seperately it works fine.
Can anyone advice if I am doing anything wrong? Is this the only way (and if correct) to trigger a desktop flow automatically at a specific time everyday? Is there no such option to automatically trigger a desktop flow within Power Automate desktop itself?
What date did you want to flow to initially start working? It looks like you have 2023-02-01T17:25:00Z which is telling power automate "Start using this schedule on February 1, 2023 at 5:25PM UTC"
So if you made the flow on January 10, 2023, the flow will never run until Feb 1, 2023 5:25PM UTC, and then after Feb 1, 2023 5:25PM UTC it will run each workday at 5:25 PM in your Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney timezone.
Right now I see the current UTC time is 2:43 PM Feb 1, 2023. So your flow still has like 3 hours before it would begin running.
Change the Start Time to like yesterday or wait another day for it to begin running.
