Is the recorder tool on Power Automate desktop version the only way to automate clicks on a webiste? For example, if I access the same website every day and select specific fields such as dates, and then download an excel file with this data. I am looking for a way to automate this process using power automate, however the recorder tool on the desktop version I currently do not have access to.
Hi @Anonymous
I think i can't share video here. but will share a sample of flow which downloads the file from rpachallenge website
here is the flow
This is the website
Here i need to download file by clickin Download File button [as highlighted below]
Now let's refer from flow steps used
Step 1: launch the website
Step 2: wait for the Download button to appear in web page
Step 3: click on button
Step 4: after doing step 3, this save as dialog box appears
enter the file path in filename field
Step 5: click on save button
Step 6: the step 6 in flow is optional (just added some delay before closing browser)
Step 7: close the website (if you don't want to perform additional operations )
Hope it helps

Thank you. Are you willing to record a video of you creating a bot that automatically goes to a website, downloads a report from the website and saves it to your computer? Or something similar to that?
Hi @Anonymous
You have to use browser actions to perform click operations
Unfortunately, I do not have admin access to accept the recorder application. Is there any other way to automate clicks on a website? It can be with the Power automate app or the desktop version without using the recorder application.
Hi @Anonymous
Are you not able to view this option in power automate desktop?
you can use above to record actions 🙂
