To/Cc condition in received emails not triggering

(0) ShareShare

Posted on by

Hi,

I created a Flow as follows:

When new email arrives in a shared mailbox >

Condition 1: If 'To' does not contain firstname (my email address is firstname.lastname@domain.com, but I am just mentioning firstname in the field)

Condition 2: If 'Cc' does not contain firstname

Action: Email notification...

(I know I can use and/or to combine the 2 conditions) but I am just keeping things simple till I get it working perfectly)

Irrespective of whether I am marked (To/Cc), I get the email notification (action), the flow is always ignoring Condition 1 and 2.

Please advise.

Regards,

Neerav

Has the functionality of sharing screenshots been removed, I can't find it?

Hi @v-xida-msft, can you share your email address so I can mail you the screenshot.

    Hi @Anonymous,

Could you please share a screenshot of your flow's configuration?

    Where are you marked (To/Cc)?

I have made a test on my side and don't have the issue that you mentioned. My flow's configuration as below:14.JPG

The flow works successfully as below:15.JPG

Note: When you use the "When a new email arrives in a shared mailbox" as the trigger of your flow, the CC dynamic content return the email address that you filled within Mailbox Address field of the trigger.

    Best regards,

    Kris

Can you see if any of your Flows works on To/Cc? That is where I'm having an issue right now.

I haven't tried From yet and don't really require it.

Hi @Dev_Nikhil even mentioning the full email does not work. I am still getting email notifications irrespective of whether I am in to/cc in mails sent to shared mailbox or not.

Thanks @Dev_Nikhil, I have updated the flow and will reply after a couple of days of observation.

This is not related to case sensitivity if it requires full email address (because 'firstname' is contained in 'firstname.lastname@domain.com'.)

Further, I hope this is not case sensitive, because people might send a mail to 'Firstname.Lastname@domain.com', Firstname.lastname... etc.

    Hi @Anonymous

You can try one simple thing put the whole Email Address rather than only first name, Because the Condition in Flow is the Case sensitive so may be it is raising the Problem to you.

I have tried to filter with firstname.lastname@domain.com (full email id) for just POC and it will run perfectly for me and i am sure it will run perfectly for you also.

    Thanks
