Error on creating/editing chart for model driven

Hi, I have created a view for an entity called Yearly data. For that view, Ive added another field by linking to another entity to get the value using XrmToolBox. Below is the result:

acc Country and aa Region(AFI) are the new fields. After i've published the new view, I've encountered a problem with opening charts for that entity (Yearly data). Below is the screenshot of the error:

does anybody know what's the issue and how to resolve it? Much appreciated.

    Hi @NurNina ,

How do you added "acct Country" and "aa Region(AFI)" field to the Yearly data View? Using XrmToolBox?

Regarding the issue that you mentioned, I have made a test on my side, and don't have the issue that you mentioned. The new fields added to your CDS Entity is subject to the "LookUp" relationship (Many-to-One).

You could add new fields to your existing View from related Entities through CDS in your PowerApps directly without using XrmToolBox:

Then click "Save" and "Publish", then re launch your Model Driven app again, the new added field would be shown up as below:

Please try above solution, then check if the issue is solved.

Also please consider remove the Chart from your CDS Entity, then re-create a new one based on the CDS Entity View, then check if the issue is fixed.

Hi @v-xida-msft Ive tried using the related field inside the view. However, the data is not showing. like the country below:

    related field.JPG

But when I link the entity using fetchxml, the are data inside the related field :

    acc country.JPG

     here is the xml:

    fetchxml.JPG

I link the yearly data to account to get the country. and then from country,im trying to get the region.

    Hi @NurNina ,

Regarding the fetchxml formula that you mentioned, I find that you want to display In-Direct related column data in your Entity View, right?

If you want to display In-direct related column data from other Entities in your Entity View, I afraid that there is no way to achieve your needs. You could display the data using fetchxml query in your XrmToolBox, but it could not be supported in Entity View currently.

Currently, within Entity View, you could only display direct related column data from other Entity through the "Many-to-One" relationship, you could not display Indirect Related column data from other Entities in Entity View.

@v-xida-msft thank you for the help but I wonder why there is no data shown when Im using the related field for Entity view like the country in the image above?

    Hi @NurNina ,

Please make sure you have related the records in your Main Entity to records in your Account Entity through the "Many-to-One" relationship.

If you do not related the records from your Main Entity to records in your Account Entity through the "Many-to-One" relationship, when you add the related field in your View, it would display blank.

Please check and see if the following article would help in your scenario:

    Hi @NurNina ,

Currently, I could not reproduce your issue on my side. Have you tried to remove the Entity View from your Main Entity, and then re-create a new View for your Main Entity, then try it again, check if the issue is solved.

If the issue still exists, please consider submit an assisted support ticket through the following link:
