saving an excel in sharepoint

I would like to create a copy of an excel file in sharepoint, every time a mail is received. I want the new excel to be renamed with the subject of the mail. I've created an automatic flow to trigger action when a mail is received. I'm not sure what connector to use for duplicating an excel and renaming it in sharepoint

    Hi Scott,

Thanks a lot for your reply.

In your case, the excel you want to save in sharepoint is in the mail, but for me the excel is in a location in sharepoint.

I tried using these 2 connectors, but im not sure how to choose links for file identifier, copy and destination folder from sharepoint.

    Thanks again for your support.

In your original post you mentioned that the files arrive via email - that's why I constructed the Flow the way I have.  If you are manually saving the files, then there is no link back to the email for you to get the subject.

You might consider using the Office 365 Outlook When an email is flagged trigger instead of the trigger that I used.  When you see an email that meets your requirements Flag the email and the Flow will run.

    Hi Scott,

Looks like I did not explain my problem well.  So let me rephrase it.

Assume that I have an excel in sharepoint with the name "ABCD". Whenever i receive a mail with subject "CDEF" from a contact "X", I want to create a copy of the file "ABCD" and save it as "CDEF"

I created a trigger action when the mail is received. Im not aware how to copy the excel and rename it.

Once again, thanks a lot for your time.

    Hi @abinesh

you would use get file content action to retrieve the file content of your excel file and then create file action with the new file name and file content from the previous action.

    get file content

    create file

make sure you include the file extension in the new file name - subject.xlsx or it won’t open.
