Hello,
I am very new to Power Automate and building flows. With help from Microsoft community forums and a few Youtube videos I finally was able to build and get my flow working! Great. What I wanted to do was when a response from a Microsoft form is completed it sends a calendar invite to that person. (I want to use Microsoft forms for out events so I don't have to manually add people to the event.)
However, I've got a problem where when the form is submitted the flow changes the event to another time. So, for example, the event is set for May 21st at 12pm but after the form is completed it changes the event to 5 pm. I've included screenshots of my flow below. I cannot figure out why it keeps changing the event. The only thing I could think of was if the calendar of the person responding had something already at that time that it would bounce the time to the nearest available time.
The problem with this is that it looks like it sends an invite update every time someone responds to the form. So if the 1st person responds and then 50 other people respond than that 1st person gets 50 emails. This is not something that my department can accept.
Hello, @amatson!
Yes, this seems to be related with the time zone differences. Someone suggested readjusting the start time and end time before using the actions "Update Event (V4)", it's a bit ugly but that way you can make sure it doesn't move it forward... however, as you say, it's moving it quite a bit, however no harm in checking this other post in case you see something that might help: Update Event (v4) Time Zone Issue - Power Platform Community (microsoft.com)
I'll make sure you post any findings! Meanwhile, if someone knows what might be causing this issue, please join it!
Cheers,
Rodrigo
