Date Format not exporting correctly from PAD to Excel

Hi All,

I set up a flow in Power Automate Desktop which takes the previous day's date and writes it into excel. This was working perfectly until today and now the date written in excel is in MM/dd/yyyy instead of dd/MM/yyyy format (UK date format) which I had set within the Convert datetime to text flow point.

In the Get current date and time flow point I have selected System time zone in the Time Zone section.

As I've stated previously this was working perfectly before but now it's glitched because I haven't changed anything in my flow.

Any help is much appreciated.

I have the same question (0)

I can't tell you why it decides to do this.  I have seen similar posts and not great and clear solutions.  As part of your flow, I would:

    1) reformat the column to MM/dd/yyyy before writing the dates from PAD

    2) write the dates from PAD in an MM/dd/yyyy format

    3) use the window UI elements to format the column for dd/MM/yyyy

    Best of luck!

    Hi @MichaelAnnis

Thanks for getting back to me on this. It appears to have rectified itself. Certainly something I'll be keeping an eye on.

I had the similar issue , so I have added the action "Convert datetime to text" after Get current date and time action.
Pass the "Custom" format to MM/dd/yyyy hh:mm:ss and its appeared correct UK format into my Excel sharepoint

Still not sure if my Windows environment set as UK format setting , i should expect the output on my Excel Share-point as UK format its weird.

Appreciate if some one can explain why

However, its resolved the issue at my end by using "Convert datetime to text" action using "Custom" format pass the value  MM/dd/yyyy hh:mm:ss

    Thanks
