I have built a flow that is set to trigger when a new email shows up in a shared mailbox. The flow works when testing it, but it is not working for new emails showing up daily. I am not sure what I am missing to get it to run automatically. There are emails showing up daily, so it should go. Any ideas?
Any updates to this?
I have the simplest possible flow:
1) Trigger = any email arrives to the SMB, no folder specified (also tried with Inbox as the folder, same result), nothing else specified
2) Action = Initialize variable with the subject matter of the email from 1)
The flow works perfectly fine if testing it with manual trigger (and then sending an email to the SMB).
If not turning test wit manual trigger on, nothing happens most of the time. But very rare, the flow is triggered.
The very same setup works perfectly fine for my inbox, not SMB (Trigger: When a new email arrives (V3)).
Any suggestions, what is happening here?..
Did this ever get resolved? My flow only ever works when testing, it won't pick up any emails in the Shared Mailbox sent when not testing the Flow...
Edit: It started working after removing the "Folder" value in the trigger.
Hi, I am also having same issue, flow triggers only when I give Inbox with attachment condition yes. But not triggering when giving to sub folders; How to fix this issue? Please help
How long did you wait to see if the Flow would fire? It might take 5 minutes+ depending on your license.
I recreated the Flow to see if there was something wrong with it but I am still having this issue. I ran a test on the new flow where I would trigger the flow to run. So I sent an email to the shared mailbox and it kicked off the flow and saved the file to SharePoint. After the test, I verified it was turned on and set to Automated. I sent another email with an attachment and the workflow did not kick off. I am at a loss right now...
I made the suggested change and ran a test. The test worked and the attachment was saved to the SharePoint Library. I had a user send an email to the shared inbox and the Flow failed to kickoff. I am not sure what I am missing right now.
Hi @volkjr21 ,
Since the test results are successful, there is no problem with the configuration of the Flow.
I noticed that you set Has Attachment to Yes, which means that Flow will only trigger when the received email contains attachment.
If set to No or blank, Flow will fire regardless of whether the email contains attachment.
The reason I think it is not triggered is because the received email does not contain attachments. Please check if the results are consistent with what I described.
In addition, Include Attachment is set to Yes in order to obtain Attachment, which does not affect the trigger of the Flow.
Best Regards,
