How to change Flow's plan?

Hi everyone,

For context - I am trying to package an app using PowerApps solutions (not sure if this is related).  I am trying to follow best ALM practices by having a dev environment and a production environment separately.  The solution I've created contains a flow with an approval step.

Problem - I found that I cannot test this flow with a dummy user account as that account is not part of the Security Group defined in my dev environment.  I don't think adding this account to the security group of the environment would be the way to go since we won't be doing this in production for 200+ individuals.

Unless I'm mistaken, the only way to have the approval creator be the owner of the Flow is by having the Flow Plan set as Owner.  I wasn't able to change this for the Flow within my solution but I have other stand alone flows that work using the owner's account instead of end user.

With the above in mind, here's some questions I have:

1) Is there anyway to change the flow in question to run using the owner's account?

2) Is this something that can be configured via Power Admin settings within individual environments?

Here's 3 snips showing flow details of a solution flow (dev env) | stand alone flow (org default env) | stand alone flow (dev env).

Both dev env flows have " the user running the flow" option selected and I can't change it.

Any insights are greatly appreciated 🙂
