Internal server error at approval

Hello,

We have a flow that starts out with an approval after a new sharepoint list row is created. The flow has been working fine, and even has some submissions that are still running as of typing this message.

However i have one submission that fails after 2 minutes every time with the following message:

"InternalServerError. The request failed. Error code: '500'. Error Message: 'BadGateway'."

I've duplicated the subbmission and made a new list item with the same info, to no avail.

    Hi @PVosEska ,

Could you share more details on how is your flow created?

Are you working with action Create an approval (V2)?

Currently, Flow does have an issue when working with action Create an approval (V2).

A workaround is to add anything, even whitespace, to the approval details field. This only happens when there are not actual approval details.

    Best regards,

    Mabel

    Hi @v-yamao-msft,

It triggers when a new sharepoint item is created, then sends out the approval to one recipient. After the approval,

if approved, it sends a mail back that the item will be examined further.

if not approved, it send a mail back to inform the creator of rejection.

I changed to recipient to myself for testing, to no avail. I also added a second approval, to see if it was just this 'tile' , also to no avail.

i haven't made the flow myself, but i believe it's the V1. They changed to title, so it's hard to see.

The item details consists of the "created" and  "Created by Displayname" fields, so they are always filled.

    Thank you for responding.

    Regards,

    Hi @PVosEska ,

    What’s your current situation?

I have made some tests with approval actions, Start and wait for an approval, Create an approval (V2), all of them are working fine.

Please take another try with it and post back if the issue still exists.

    Best regards,

    Mabel

    @v-yamao-msft ,

It Fails after about 2 or 3 minutes while waiting for an approval response. It still does...

    - I checked the SP list where the info comes from, Every Required column is filled.

    - Changing the approver to myself also did not help...

    - Also exporting the flow and importing the flow, both as an update or as new would not fix it.

I probably got no choice but to delete the flow completely and start anew... Unless you got a great idea offcourse! hope so

    Hi @PVosEska ,

The issue could not be reproduced by me.

If you create a new flow with approval actions, will it run successfully?

Please share a URL to the failed flow and a screenshot of it.

    Best regards,

    Mabel
