Edit Form Date Field

Hi Folks.

I have a edit from reading from a SPO List. One of the columns being read from SPO is the Date / Time Column, which is Date Time data type.

In PowerApps, if the DateTime is blank, it sets the default date to 31/12/2001 .

I cant find anywhere in PowerApps to change this to blank as it is in SharePoint.

Any Ideas?

    Hi @Vstar19 ,

    As below

    Your DefaultDate should be ThisItem.YourDateFieldName

Found out how to do it.

Select DateCardValue -> Advanced Tab -> Remove everything in "InputTextPlaceholder".

    Thanks for guiding me.

just to mention, the date is set to read only on the edit form, so the user can really change it... The date is something that is update when the form is changed. So the user cant change the date.

I just need to know how to display a blank date is not date is chosen (hope that makes sense)

    Hi, Thanks for your reply.

There is no default date in SharePoint.

How do i delete the placeholder text, i cant see no option in PowerApps to do that. I can see Date TimeZone / Locate etc, but no placeholder text?

    Hi @Vstar19 ,

31/12/2001 is not the field content - it is the InputTextPlaceholder - you can delete this if you want. What is the DefaultDate of the control?
