Hi,
I created editform to submit data to SharePoint list. One of columns is Responsible field that I set as person (office user). I can submit a person I selected but I would like to remove him/her when I clear selection and submit again.

Are you using patch to submit the data or SubmitForm function?
I checked and it is working fine if you use SubmitForm function.

May I ask what formula you have used to submit the Form?
Data source we created.
We found that it can be removed him/her after clear selection and submit form in the Data source.
DataCardValue2.Selected
Default of DataCard:
ThisItem.Responsible
Items of Combo Box:
Choices([@'0718_1'].Responsible)
DefaultSelectedItems of Combo Box:
Parent.Default
The Button of Submit Form.
SubmitForm(Form1)

I am using SubmitForm but not work, it will work if I change to another.
I hope you are using a form. If you are, you can edit the form to remove the card and add it again. This will refresh the form and should submit when you try again.
Click on edit fields after selecting the form:
Then remove the filed:
Add the field again:
It is really same with you at all but not work.
I already try for this or even create new Edit Form but still not work.Is it problem from I set properties items of edit form as gallery. Selected ?
What did you put for DataSource property of the form?
The same thing works for me without any issues. Try restarting the app.
