Hi Guys,

I have a choices box that looks up another SharePoint list but I would also like the ability to enter free text as well. Is this possible?

Choices([@'Site Sign In_1'].'Company Name')

John.

    You can add an option called "others" and on select add a text box.

    @Debolinad

    If it is not possible for what I want to do then I could use that.

    Hi @jbrines ,

    This is more about the Update of the Data Card - assuming you are using a Combo Box here it would be

    {
     Value:
     Coalesce(
     ComboBoxName.Selected.Value,
     ComboBoxName.SearchText
     )
    }

    and ensure Allow Searching is turned on.

    Hi @WarrenBelz ,

    Yes it is a Combo Box.

    Will it still look up the Company Share point List?

    John.

    hi @WarrenBelz ,

    I have put the following but I am able to type any text in when I preview the app but it isn't updating the SharePoint list that the app sends the data back to.

    John

    {
     Value:
     Coalesce(
     DataCardValue1.SelectedItems,
     DataCardValue1.Selected
     )
    }

    Hi @WarrenBelz ,

    It was in the Company Name Data Card, didn't see any other place to put it.

    Hi @WarrenBelz ,

    Sorry I must be missing what you are trying to say.

    I read to add the formula to the datacard but obviously change it to the name of my combobox name.

    I am obviously not reading it properly.

    John
