Hi

I'm French Canadian and I want add $ into amount field (Number)

I put this function in Default proprety : Text(Value(Parent.Default);"#.#0$";"ca-FR")

It works, but it put "€" sign instead of "$" !!

Any idea?

Of course my Windows parameters are set in CanadianFrench and $

Yes! The issue here is that in the "ca-FR" (French - Canada) locale, the default currency symbol is set to "€" instead of "$" in PowerApps. To explicitly force the use of the "$" symbol, you need to manually set the currency format instead of relying on the locale’s default.

    Solution:

Use the Text function with a custom format:

    Text(Value(Parent.Default), "$ #,##0.00")

    Explanation:

    • $ #,##0.00 ensures that:
      • The dollar sign ($) is explicitly placed.
      • Thousands are separated properly.
      • Two decimal places are always shown.

Alternatively, if you want to ensure the currency formatting is based on the English Canadian locale (ca-EN), try:

    Text(Value(Parent.Default), "[$-en-CA]$ #,##0.00")

    Thks for your quick reply

    Text(Value(Parent.Default); "[$-en-CA]$ #,##0.00") Doesn't work. I get an error in the function

Text(Value(Parent.Default); "$ #,##0.00") This works, but still put EURO sign !

French Canadien dont't put "," to separate thousand. Only for decimal and $ should be at the end.

    ex: 1 2345,56 $
