Copy/Duplicate a Cloud Flow in a Solution

I am a beginning user of Power Automate. I want to create a copy of my first cloud flow to build on. I see this relevant thread from March of 2020: Solved: Copy/Duplicate a Flow in a Solution - Power Platform Community (microsoft.com)

The built-in capabilities appear to be the same as described almost two years ago:

*The UI supports saving a copy, but

*It is displayed only under the top-level listing of Flows/Cloud Flows, and

*Is not available from Add Existing/Automation/Cloud Flow/From Dataverse within my solution

Editing the export file seems crude and risky to me ("no code?"). Is there any easier alternative I am not finding?

    Hello @gcoleman,

Try clicking Save As button after opening the flow.

    For adding in Solutions

Go to https://make.powerapps.com then click on Solutions then click or create a new solutions then click on Add Existing then clcik cloud flow to add the same.

No, at this point there is no easy way to make a copy of an existing flow in a solution and adding the copy to the solution.  As an alternative, you might try exporting the solution and adding it to a different environment as an unmanaged solution.  You can then work on that copy of the flow in that environment without affecting the original.

Thank you @rampprakash and @Pstork1 both interesting and helpful. It is tantalizing to me that one can add existing to a new solution created after the flow copy was created but not a solution existing when the copy was created. Unfortunately I really do want the copy to be in my existing solution. In the end, I went ahead and re-created the flow from scratch. (It was only two steps worth anyway.) Thanks again. I'm impressed at the power of community!

This is extremely frustrating that you cannot add a copy of your flow to the same solution. Yikes.

As an alternative, add all the steps in your flow to a Scope and you can copy and paste your whole flow into another flow

I have wrongly shared a flow with my connections, and now i have deleted the template by going share with me tab on templates, Does it mean i am safe and the others can not access the template any more?
