Get an @mention token for a user (from a Microsoft List People or Groups column)

I'm trying to use "Get an @mention token for a user" where the user is pulled from a Microsoft List column that is a People or Group column.

When I simply use my email address in the *User field, the flow runs perfectly.  But when I run the flow by attempting to pull from the line item in the Microsoft List People or Group column, it fails as below.

The User in the MSFT List is also a user in the MSFT Teams channel into which I intend to post my notification.

Feels like this should work, but cannot figure out why "Get an @mention token for a user" cannot pull the user from the MSFT List.

Thank you very much

When the flow run fails, I get this:

    Hi @darrenrw :

An error prompts that the user ID you provided is a null value. vbofengmsft_0-1634528561325.png

Could you please check the value of the parameter ‘Value’ passed in to Apply to each 2?

I've made a test but it worked well on my side.

Thank you for the benefit of your assistance.

The Value being passed into 'Apply to each 2' is, I believe, my user email address.  I've set it to display as such in order to confirm that the email address is what's being passed along.  Strange thing is that when I enter my email address in the "Get an @mention token for a user", I am tagged.  I think the issue is with referencing "Personal Responsible Email"...just doesn't seem to be pulling the correct value.

    Hi @darrenrw :

The point is that the first 4 records' Person Responsible is empty. You need to filter out the records where Person Responsible is not empty

That was terrific advice thank you; I filled out each cell with PersonResponsible, using both an individual and a mail-enabled security group, and it worked perfectly.

When I first tried the mail-enabled-security group in the list, the email address was (I think) too long to show up, and so the cell saved out as a blank; so, I switched the setting to show the "Name", and this populated the cell with the name of the mail-enabled security group.

The @mention also shows up correctly it seems to me in the flow run:

Only problem is that in my notification, the @mention did not actually show up, and so I wasn't tagged.

By contrast, when I simply inserted my email address in the @mention (rather than attempting to reference off the PersonResponsble column in my Microsoft List, it tagged me correctly

Thanks if you have any ideas.  I've also not been able to get the HTML Link served up in the Teams notification to be dynamic...have to cut and paste it into a browser instead.

    Thanks very much Bof!

    Darren.

Bof - please ignore my last as to the @mention portion of my question - I had forgotten to add it in my "Post message in a chat or channel 15d".  Now fixed - adding beneath in case it helps someone out.

If you know how to make the link dynamic that would be terrific thank you.
