Pipeline deployment fails to end

I have a pipeline deployment that has been running for over three hours without ending.
Previous deployment of the same solution took five minutes.  This is typical.
Is there anyway to stop the deployment?  I can't start a new deployment while the old one is working

    Hello,
     
    You can actually cancel the deployment. 
     
    1. Click Deploy on the stuck solution (as if you're deploying again)
    2. Click the Manage pipelines button in the ribbon
    3. Click on your pipeline
    4. Choose the Run history tab
    5. Here are all deployments. Select the stuck deployment and click Edit on the Sub grid
    6. Now, there's  Cancel Deployment button on the Deployment Stage Run ribbon
