Flow to send email when a specific column in a sharepoint list is updated

Can someone PLEASE help me....?!?!?!?!  My request is SO simple and I can't believe it is this hard to figure out...  I have read a TON of other forum posts on this topic, yet I still can't get it to work.  All of the other posts I've seen are saying to create these extra fields/columns that are hidden and change their values, etc...  AHHHHH!!!!  REALLY?!?!?  All I want to do is:

*when a specific column within my SharePoint List changes, send an email.   THAT'S IT!!!!!  LOL

The specific column ("Meeting Scheduled") in my SharePoint list is a Yes / No toggle.  The default value of the column is set to NO.  So, when I go into the list and update this column field to YES, I want it to send me an email, etc....

Soooo, in my (probably warped) mind, I think the Flow should look like this:

Flow.jpg

Of course, I know my condition is failing (as I simply just typed "Yes" into the right box).  And I can't get the condition to funtion properly.  This seems so simple to me, yet I haven't been able to find anything online to help get it functioning properly, without requiring a ton to scripting, etc....  (which I'm not equipped to do)...  LOL!!

Any help would be GREATLY apprecaited!!!!!!

Thanks a lot!!!

    Hi @ws6boy,

    Please use bool function to return bool version for an input value. Then you could use a Condition to check the specific Boolean column.

    Please enter the following function in the Condition.

    @equals(triggerBody()?['YesNo'], bool('True'))

    I have tested it on my side and it works fine.

    Best regards,

    Thanks @v-yamao-msft!!  I'm in the process of trying it now...  However, I have many Yes/No columns in my SharePoint list.  Were in the function do I add the info for this specific column I want to use for this flow?

    Meeting_x0020_Scheduled

    The above is the column I want the flow to use...  Or do I have to add a 2nd condition specifying this column...?

     -------------------

    *UPDATE - I did try the condition in a generic sense just to see if it would work at all, and the flow immediately failed with this error:

    InvalidTemplate. Unable to process template language expressions for action 'Condition' at line '1' and column '2534': 'The template language expression 'equals(triggerBody()['YesNo'], bool('True'))' cannot be evaluated because property 'YesNo' doesn't exist, available properties are '@odata.etag, ItemInternalId, ID, Title, Aldea_x0020_Request_x0020__x0023, (ETC)............

    The "Yes/No" trigger is not present in my list of available triggers (which I don't understand, as the Flow sees my SharePoint list and all of the columns in it).  Is that something that needs to be manually added somehow?

    Thanks a lot!!!!!!!

    ----------------------

    *UPDATE (Again).....  🙂

    I figured out the correct syntax for the specific column I needed the flow to use:

    @equals(triggerBody()?['Meeting_x0020_Scheduled'], bool('True'))

    Thanks @v-yamao-msft for helping me get this working!  It is working like a champ now!!!  🙂 🙂

    Is it possible that I can use this solution for a column that contained no information and when something is added I trigger the Flow to send the email? I guess I could use a calculated column that would be No while my "Response" column is blank and then Yes when there is a reponse. Any tips or useful info would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi

    I am wondering whether anyone has used this sort of thing but for when an Excel Spreadsheet is updated?

    For example when Column X is updated from blank to yes send email?

    Thank you in advance

    You may prefer to use the Trigger Conditions facility to have your flow run only when you actually want it to.  Just go to the Settings of your trigger ('When an item is created or modified'), at the bottom of the window you'll find trigger conditions.  Add one, and enter your @equals(triggerBody()?['Meeting_x0020_Scheduled'], bool('True')) condition.  Makes your flow simpler and saves you flow runs.
